Stephanie O'Dear is widely considered Kansas City's "Fashionista" and expert on style and beauty matters. Her credentials and credibility come as a columnist for SPACES magazine, 20 years as a professional model, owning her own clothing business, styling for photo shoots, her experiences as Miss Missouri and possessing a sincere interest in culling, capturing and conveying the latest and all-time greatest ideas, observations and products from local and global sources.

In her SPACES column, O'Dear writes about her discoveries and observations in a first-person tone that is authentic, intelligent, funny and informative. She presents style moments with unpretentiousness and humor but also makes recommendations based on first-hand experiences with the items and ideas that have passed her "test." O'Dear has conducted personal interviews with some of the industry's most notable, including Tim Gunn, Mark Badgley and James Mischka and Donald, J. Pliner. She is also a regular style contributor to NBC Action News/KSHB-TV and an in-demand speaker and emcee.

O'Dear has a significant list of charitable work and is a well-known civic leader, with leadership roles in The Lyric Opera of Kansas City Board of Directors and Circle and the Junior League of Kansas City, Missouri. She is married to a lawyer and a mother of three. A native of Kansas City, she holds a journalism degree from the University of Missouri.
